Ingredients

Scale
  • Non-stick cooking spray
  • 1.5 pounds salmon
  • 2 heaping tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried onion powder
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon butter (sliced)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare aluminum foil large enough to wrap around the salmon, then spray with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Place the salmon skin-side down on the foil. In a bowl, mix Dijon mustard, brown sugar, and spices, then spread evenly over the salmon.
  3. Fold the foil over to create a tent shape, pinching the edges to seal it well.
  4. Bake for about 15 minutes or until nearly done. Carefully open the foil and pour maple syrup on top; add butter slices.
  5. Broil for an additional 2-4 minutes, watching closely to prevent burning.
