  • 2 racks of beef ribs
  • 3/41 cup dry rub for oven baked ribs (prepared)
  • 1218 ounces barbecue sauce of your choice
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Remove the membrane from the back of each rack of ribs. Optionally brush with liquid smoke.
  3. Generously apply the prepared dry rub on both sides of the ribs and wrap tightly in aluminum foil.
  4. Place foil-wrapped ribs on a baking sheet and bake for 2.5 to 3 hours until tender.
  5. Carefully remove foil; brush ribs with barbecue sauce.
  6. Return to the oven uncovered for an additional 30 minutes to caramelize the sauce.
