  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 2 lbs potatoes (pared and diced)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 4 green onions (chopped)
  • 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1.5 tbsp brown gravy mix

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with chopped onions and mushrooms until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat and season with salt, garlic powder, and brown gravy mix.
  2. Boil diced potatoes in salted water until tender. Drain well.
  3. Mash the potatoes with sour cream until smooth, then stir in green onions and cheese.
  4. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  5. In a deep dish pie pan, layer the meat mixture evenly, then top with the loaded mashed potato mixture.
  6. Bake for about 30 minutes until the edges of the potatoes are golden.
