  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup sugar (for topping)
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt (for topping)
  • 12 tablespoons cold unsalted butter (for topping)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for topping)
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tablespoon raw or coarse sugar (for topping)
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (200°C). Lightly grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
  2. In the baking dish, combine peeled and sliced peaches with granulated sugar, brown sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, and spices. Bake for about 15 minutes until slightly bubbly.
  3. For the topping, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a food processor. Add cold butter cubes and pulse until crumbly. Combine wet ingredients separately before folding into the dry mixture.
