  • 1 small head cabbage (about 6 cups chopped)
  • 28-ounce can tomato sauce
  • 14.5-ounce can petite diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup uncooked Minute rice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon sugar

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, brown ground beef with minced garlic and diced onion until cooked through. Drain excess grease.
  2. In your slow cooker, combine chopped cabbage, water, uncooked rice, and seasonings (black pepper, garlic salt, paprika, sugar). Mix well.
  3. Stir in the cooked beef mixture along with tomato sauce and diced tomatoes.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or high for 3-4 hours until rice and cabbage are tender.
  5. If needed, adjust consistency with additional water or broth before serving.
