  • 1 pound Lean Ground Beef
  • 4 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 medium Onion (diced)
  • 1 large Carrot (diced)
  • 1 (28-ounce can) Crushed Tomatoes
  • 1/3 cup Tomato Paste
  • 1 cup uncooked Long Grain White Rice (rinsed)
  • 2 tablespoons Brown Sugar (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Smoked Paprika
  • 1 1/2 pounds Green Cabbage (chopped)
  • 6 cups Beef Broth
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • Fresh Parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat.
  2. Sauté ground beef and minced garlic until beef is fully cooked; add diced onion and sauté until tender.
  3. Drain excess grease if necessary, then deglaze the pot with a splash of broth.
  4. Stir in diced carrots, crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, rinsed rice, brown sugar (if using), Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, chopped cabbage, broth, salt, and pepper.
  5. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer for about 20 minutes until rice is cooked.
  6. Serve warm garnished with fresh parsley.
