Ingredients

Scale
  • 16 oz organic 94% lean ground turkey
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp ground mustard
  • 1 tsp vinegar (to replace Worcestershire sauce)
  • Vegan butter for cooking (or olive oil, avocado oil, or vegetable oil)
  • 4 slices dairy-free cheddar cheese
  • 4 buns (brioche or potato)
  • 4 Tbsps jam (substituted for bacon jam)
  • Bread & butter pickles or dill pickles (optional; sweet relish or pickled onions can also be used)
  • 1/2 cup vegan mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbsps premium BBQ sauce (homemade or store-bought)
  • 24 Tbsps almond milk, unsweetened (or your favorite plant-based milk)
  • 1 tsp fresh or dried cilantro
  • 1/2 tsp dill
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Pinch of sea salt

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, sea salt, black pepper, garlic powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, ground mustard, and vinegar. Mix gently.
  2. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and form each into thick patties.
  3. Heat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat and add vegan butter. Cook patties for about 5–7 minutes on each side until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  4. Place a slice of dairy-free cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.
  5. Assemble your burger by spreading BBQ ranch sauce on each bun and topping with pickles if desired.
