  • 23 pounds beef chuck roast or rump roast
  • 3 cups low sodium beef broth
  • 2 yellow onions, quartered and thinly sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 46 sturdy rolls
  • 812 slices of cheese (provolone, Swiss, Havarti, or Monterey Jack)
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 bay leaf
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Season the beef with salt and pepper.
  2. In a large glass measuring cup, mix beef broth with Worcestershire sauce.
  3. Sear the meat in olive oil until browned on all sides; transfer to your slow cooker.
