  • 2 large eggs (lightly beaten)
  • 4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup wholesome organic fair trade cane sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 10 TBSP unsalted butter (room temperature and cubed)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 3/4 cup wholesome organic fair trade dark brown sugar
  • 1 TBSP ground cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 3 TBSP unsalted butter
  • 1 cup wholesome organic fair trade powdered confectioners sugar (sifted)
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 TBSP milk
  • Chopped pecans (for decoration on top)

Instructions

  1. Combine warm milk and active dry yeast in a bowl; let sit until foamy.
  2. Mix beaten eggs, sugar, salt, and cubed butter in another bowl. Add the yeast mixture.
  3. Gradually incorporate all-purpose flour to form a soft dough; knead until smooth.
  4. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled (about 1 hour).
  5. Prepare filling by mixing softened butter, dark brown sugar, cinnamon, and chopped pecans.
  6. Roll out dough into a rectangle; spread filling evenly on top.
  7. Roll tightly into a log shape and cut into 9 pieces; place on a greased baking sheet.
  8. Let rolls rise again for 30 minutes before baking at 350°F for 25-28 minutes until golden.
  9. For icing: Beat cream cheese and butter until smooth; gradually add powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk.
  10. Drizzle icing over warm rolls and enjoy!
