  • 12 large eggs
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon softened butter
  • 2 teaspoons yellow mustard
  • 2 teaspoons dijon mustard
  • 2 teaspoons sweet gherkin pickle juice
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Hard boil the eggs by placing them in a pot, covering with cold water, bringing to a boil, then removing from heat and letting sit covered for 12 minutes. Transfer to an ice bath for 5 minutes before peeling.
  2. Slice each egg in half lengthwise and remove yolks into a mixing bowl. Mash yolks until fine.
  3. Mix in mayonnaise, softened butter, mustards, pickle juice, sugar, salt, pepper, and optional Tabasco until creamy.
  4. Spoon or pipe the mixture back into egg whites and sprinkle with paprika.
