  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic (minced)
  • 2 ¾ cups chicken broth
  • ¾ cup half and half
  • ¾ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ lb. Shellbow pasta
  • Fresh lemon juice
  • ¾ teaspoon dried basil
  • ¾ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ¾ teaspoon dried parsley
  • ¾ teaspoon mustard powder
  • ¼ teaspoon dried thyme
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine dried basil, oregano, parsley, mustard powder, thyme, onion powder, and pepper.
  2. In a soup pot over medium heat, melt 3 tablespoons of butter. Add minced garlic and the seasoning mix; stir until the butter foams.
  3. Pour in chicken broth, half and half, soy sauce, and add the bouillon cube; stir well.
  4. Bring to a boil before adding Shellbow pasta; cook uncovered according to package instructions while stirring occasionally.
  5. Once pasta is cooked through, reduce heat to low and gradually stir in Parmesan cheese until melted.
  6. Finish by incorporating the remaining tablespoon of butter and fresh lemon juice before serving warm.
