  • 3 tablespoons salted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • ¾ cup chicken broth
  • 1½ cups half and half
  • 10 oz. Rotel tomatoes with green chilies
  • 3 tablespoons cream cheese (softened)
  • ⅓ cup Parmesan cheese (grated)

Instructions

  1. Measure all ingredients before starting.
  2. In a large high-walled skillet over medium-low heat, melt the butter and sauté minced garlic for about 2 minutes.
  3. Stir in flour and cook for another 2 minutes, then add tomato paste, onion powder, basil, oregano, and mustard powder; mix well.
  4. Gradually add chicken broth and then half and half while stirring continuously until smooth; bring to a boil then lower heat to simmer.
  5. Incorporate softened cream cheese and drained diced tomatoes into the sauce.
  6. Cook ravioli according to package instructions; drain after cooking.
  7. Lower the heat of the sauce; gradually stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and combined.
  8. Gently fold cooked ravioli into the sauce until evenly coated.
