  • 1/3 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. kosher salt
  • 6 Tbsp. unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 packages (16 ounces) cream cheese (room temperature)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sour cream (room temperature)
  • 3 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 tsp. good vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup finely chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1 Tbsp. all-purpose flour (additional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C). In a mixing bowl, combine pecan shortbread crumbs, brown sugar, salt, and melted butter; press into the bottom of a springform pan.
  2. In another bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add sugar and mix until fluffy. Add flour and sour cream; mix well. Incorporate eggs one at a time.
  3. Stir in walnuts and chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  4. Pour the mixture over the crust and bake for about 50 minutes or until set but slightly jiggly in the center. Cool completely before refrigerating for at least 4 hours.
  5. Cut into bite-sized squares and serve.
