  • ½ cup brown sugar (packed)
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons melted unsalted butter
  • 2 ounces softened cream cheese
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • milk as needed

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In one bowl, mix pumpkin purée, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla until smooth. In another bowl, combine flour, baking soda, pumpkin pie spice, cinnamon, and salt; gradually add to wet ingredients until just combined.
  3. Prepare the cinnamon swirl by mixing brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl; then stir in melted butter.
  4. Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan; sprinkle half of the cinnamon mixture on top. Add remaining batter and top with the rest of the swirl mixture. Gently swirl with a knife.
  5. Bake for about 55 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
  6. For the glaze, beat cream cheese with powdered sugar and vanilla; add milk to reach desired consistency before drizzling over cooled bread.
