  • 1 cup white granulated sugar
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup melted salted butter
  • For the Cinnamon Swirl: 3/4 cup softened salted butter, 1 cup packed light brown sugar, 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour, 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • For the Icing: 2 cups powdered sugar, 5 tablespoons milk, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a greased 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, and baking powder. In another bowl, mix eggs, vanilla extract, and milk; combine with dry ingredients then fold in melted butter.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat together softened butter, brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon for the swirl mixture.
  4. Pour half of the batter into the pan, add half of the swirl mixture, then top with remaining batter and swirl on the rest of the mixture.
  5. Bake for about 40 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Cool slightly before drizzling with icing made from powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla.
