  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 3 large egg whites
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar (for filling)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup finely crumbled snack cakes
  • Pinch of salt
  • Green gel food coloring
  • White chocolate drizzle
  • Red and green sprinkles
  • Edible gold stars (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C). Sift powdered sugar and almond flour together twice.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat egg whites until foamy; add cream of tartar and gradually mix in granulated sugar until stiff peaks form. Stir in green food coloring.
  3. Gently fold in the almond flour mixture until smooth and flowing.
  4. Pipe shapes onto lined baking sheets and let rest for 30–60 minutes until a skin forms.
  5. Bake for 14–16 minutes, allowing to cool completely before removing from sheets.
  6. Prepare filling by beating softened butter with powdered sugar, vanilla extract, heavy cream, and salt until fluffy; fold in crumbled snack cakes.
  7. Assemble macarons by pairing shells and piping filling between them. Decorate as desired.
