  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease your 9×13-inch baking dish to prevent sticking.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and cook until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook for 2–3 minutes until softened.
  4. Stir in tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for about 5 minutes to blend flavors.
  5. While simmering, cook elbow macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain well and set aside.
  6. In a large mixing bowl, combine cooked macaroni with beef mixture, add cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, and stir in sour cream until well mixed.
  7. Pour the mixture into your prepared baking dish and sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top.
  8. Bake in your preheated oven for 25–30 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown on top.
  9. Allow cooling for about 5 minutes before serving to let flavors set beautifully.
