  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil
  • ¼½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tsp arrowroot powder
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tsp grated fresh ginger
  • 1 medium red bell pepper (finely diced)
  • ½ cup shredded carrots

  • kosher salt (to taste)
  • ground pepper (to taste)
  • sesame seeds (to taste, for garnish)
  • Boston Bibb lettuce

  4. Add diced bell pepper and shredded carrots; cook until tender yet crisp, around 3-4 minutes.
  5. Pour the prepared sauce over the mixture; stir and simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Mix in sliced green onions before serving.
  7. Spoon the filling into lettuce leaves and garnish with sesame seeds.
