  • ¼ cup maple syrup
  • ¼ cup coconut aminos
  • 2 tsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tsp grated fresh ginger
  • 1 medium red bell pepper (diced)
  • ½ cup shredded carrots
  • Boston Bibb lettuce leaves
  • Olive oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. In a measuring cup, whisk together maple syrup, coconut aminos, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and optional red pepper flakes. Add arrowroot powder and mix well.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until no longer pink (about 5 minutes).
  3. Stir in minced garlic and grated ginger; cook for an additional 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Add diced red bell pepper and shredded carrots; cook until tender (3–4 minutes).
  5. Pour the sauce over the mixture, stir well, and let simmer for 2–3 minutes until thickened. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve in lettuce wraps garnished with sesame seeds.
