  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 8 flour tortillas (for chips)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the apples by peeling, coring, and chopping them into small cubes.
  2. In a large saucepan over medium heat, combine chopped apples, brown sugar, granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, lemon juice, and water. Stir well and cook for 10-15 minutes until apples are tender.
  3. Mix cornstarch with a tablespoon of cold water until smooth, then stir into the apple mixture to thicken for about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Cut tortillas into wedges and spray lightly with non-stick cooking spray. Sprinkle both sides with a mixture of granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.
  5. Bake tortilla wedges on a baking sheet for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Serve warm Apple Pie Dip alongside crispy tortilla chips.
